Global excitement mounts as the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024 commences on Friday, January 19. The Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein will be the stage for the opening clash between Ireland and USA. Cricket enthusiasts from around the globe are eagerly anticipating the thrill and talent the tournament promises.

Sixteen teams from across the cricketing world will participate in this highly anticipated 50-over tournament, showcasing the rising stars of the sport. A total of 41 matches are scheduled throughout the competition, leading up to the final on February 11 at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.

The initial group stages will see teams divided into four groups of four. Group A features defending champions India, along with Bangladesh, Ireland, and the United States. Group B consists of England, host nation South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland. Meanwhile, Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia make up Group C, and Group D includes Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, a crucial phase that will determine the semifinalists and, ultimately, the contenders for the championship title. In the Super Six stage, two groups of six teams will clash in a fierce competition to secure their spots in the semifinals.

The tournament promises to be a platform for young cricketers to showcase their skills and make a mark in the world of international cricket. With the excitement building up, fans are set to witness some intense battles and memorable moments throughout the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2024.
